To all the able-bodied people out there:
Stop using language like “disabled person”, disabled person implies that a persons disability defines them, it isn’t they only aspect of them. People with disabilities are people who happen to have a disability. It is one aspect of them not the only aspect of them.
One thing that annoys me on a reoccurring basis is the existence of this shit:
Stock image inspirational photos of people with disabilities used as a tool to inspire and motivate the able-bodied community into doing things. Because if people with disabilities can do things, why can’t you? (sarcasm).
