Stupid questions people ask goths
I’ve been doing a lot of posts around the stupid questions people will ask of others lately namely because there are so many fucking stupid questions out there that there is no shortage of content for the blog. Today’s post contains a few stupid questions I’ve gotten over the years as a goth.
“Aren’t you hot in all that clothing and/or black?”
I find this question to be quite silly. I generally find replying with “Are you making a lot of money in all that Asian prostitute uniform?”
“Aren’t you a little old for all of that Gothic stuff?”
“Why? Are you saying that everyone who wears black and likes mental or goth rock must be immature or a youth?” This question implies that there is a uniform way to be an adult. I decide what being an adult means to me.
“Why do you wear black all the time and paint your nails black? Are you a goth?”
There’s more to being goth than wearing black. I happen to be wearing black because I’m mourning the death of intelligence.
“Are you a vampire? You must be into that vampire stuff”
No I don’t believe I’m a vampire, I’m not a Twilight fan.
“How can you listen to all of that screaming music?”
I take me iPod out of my bag, I put my earphones in my ears and turn it on.
