Scary sounding chemical scares people into petitioning to ban water
Another video from Penn and Teller. This video highlights two things: Firstly that people will believe anything and/or do little to no research on a topic, Secondly, it highlights how easy people are scared of things they don’t understand. Science is hard, chemistry is hard but just because it sounds scary, doesn’t mean it is bad.

A lot of alternative medicine frameworks are built on the fallacy that chemicals = bad and natural = good.
1. Everything is chemicals
2. The naturalness of something isn’t an indication of goodness.
This is a logical fallacy called Appeal to Nature.
